April 2012

Michiyo and Laurie compare Mommy notes on Amane and Lucy.
Life goes in cycles
We kicked off April with a celebration of Madeline Mayer's life.  Joe's Grandma, and the great grandma of Amane, Hiroki, and a gaggle of other little ones, passed away at the end of March.  We are sad she is gone after 90+ years of life, but we fully enjoy seeing the other end of the spectrum.  The day was spent with some of our youngest and newest family members.  We'll miss you Big Grandma Madge!

Amane turns the big "1"
The amazingly talented Michiyo put together this "cake." The yellow dress is egg, and underneath it is sushi rice plus salmon.  Incredible!!!
Has it really been a year?
